Trebeyu was formed in August 2002 , the result of the enthusiasm of a group of friends to keep alive and spread Asturian culture and specially traditional music and dance.

The aim of the group is to spread this popular Asturian culture with cheerful, colourful and vigorous performances, whilst at the same time trying to respect its original character. Our main characteristic is without a doubt what has given us our name. Thus, “Trebeyu” means something which is effortless and pleasurable. It implies enjoyment and entertainment.

Trebeyu’s dance repertoire begins with dances which we all know from our own individual experiences in the world of folklore but is complemented with our enthusiastic learning of new pieces.

Attention must also be drawn to the birth of the school of traditional music and dance, attended by a large group of pupils who promised to keep our traditions alive with their endless enthusiasm.

Our costumes and accessories are faithful reproductions of those of the end of the eighteenth and beginning of the nineteenth centuries.

In addition to our participation in numerous parties, weddings and local festivities, particular attention must be drawn to our performances in: Boda vaqueira de Aristebano, a traditional celebration of national touristic interest Day of Asturias in Nava

Outside Asturias we have taken part in festivals in Malaga, Galicia, Murcia, León and Catellón. And outside Spain:
